Estimate Signatures
Overview
When you share an Estimate Proposal with your client through Buildwise, they can review the document and provide a digital signature, creating a legally binding agreement.
The process for getting an estimate signature is simple:
- You share the estimate through Buildwise.
- While you can send the estimate to multiple clients for signing, only one person can sign it.
- Whoever signs the document first will be the only signature on record.
- If the second client opens the document after the first has signed, they will not see the option to digitally sign.
- The client digitally signs the document in the Customer Signature box and clicks Sign.
- A popup message briefly displays on the page, confirming that the document was signed successfully.
- The Sign button is removed from the document.
- In Buildwise, the document is updated with the client’s signature, and the estimate status is automatically updated to Client Approved.
- Optional: You can download a PDF of the signed document and email it to the client for their records, as Buildwise does not send a follow-up email with the completed document.
- Go to the Estimate Builder and select Download.
