Can I change the markup on a whole estimate at once?

If your markup changes during sales talks, you don't have to fix each row by hand. You can change the markup for the whole estimate at once, as long as the project has no approved estimate, no approved change order and no expenses.

Here are the steps to follow:

1

Change the markups

Go to the Project Overview page. Change the markup in any of the three COG fields that need it, then click Save.

The Materials, Labor and Trade markup fields in the Finance section
2

Create a new estimate

Go to the Estimates tab for that project and click Create Estimate.

The Create Estimate card on the Estimates tab
3

Click "Copy from existing"

Enter a name for the new estimate, then click Copy from existing.

The Copy from existing button in the Add New Estimate window
4

Pick your current estimate and click "Create"

Pick the Source Project and the Source Estimate you want to copy, then click Create. The new estimate appears in the project and uses the new markup percentages on every row.

If the project already has an approved estimate, an approved change order or an expense, see Can I change markup percentages in the settings on a project?
